UIBVFED-MASK: reading facial expressions with face masks

With the current Covid-19 pandemic situation, the use of face masks affects the way we recognize expressions. We presents an extension of the UIBVFED dataset, UIBVFED-MASK, which adds face masks to the virtual characters. The final goal is to assess the utility of having a database of expressions, with a significant face occlusion due to the mask, train and test a neural network to recognize human emotions.
